Is there anything better than fresh apple cider donuts, hot out of the fryer? One of the many delights of fall in New England, I try to sample as many apple cider donuts as I can once the leaves start to change here in MA.

One of my favorite treats after a day of apple picking or exploring one of the many local farms in my area, I always grab a bag of fresh apple cider donuts to bring home. They usually don’t last long in my house, but we do like to discuss the merits of individual donuts. Are they coated in sugar? Is the cinnamon overpowering? Does the apple flavor shine through? And there is always the debate of which apple cider donut reigns supreme!

Earlier this fall, I asked my Instagram followers to share where they find their favorite apple cider donuts in New England.
